- What is SvnManage?
SvnManage is a time saving web tool to manage a subversion repository quickly and easily. It allows managing users, groups and folders and assigning the access rights using the website. SvnManage allows users to change their passwords and see what access rights they have to the subversion repository.

- What kinds of repositories are supported?
It supports repositories running on both apache server and svnserve server.
- Will I have to create a new repository to use this tool?
No – you can configure an existing repository to be managed by the tool.
- Can I install/use the product on Linux machines? Is it platform independent?
Yes – SvnManage works fine for both Linux and Windows operating systems.
- General Information
- What access rights do I need to give SvnManage to my repository?
In case of Linux you need to give read,write and execute permissions for the apache user to the repository. Also it can be the case if your Linux is SeLinux enabled, If that's the case please refer to the Trouble shooting section of the install document and get the SELINUX OS issues resolved.
- Who should use SvnManage?
If you have an existing subversion repository, SvnManage is perfect tool to manage your subversion repository remotely.
- Do you offer volume licensing?
At present we do not have this facility.
- How can I send in a feedback for the product?
Once you have installed and configured the tool to be used. You can send your valuable suggestion/comments by clicking on link Suggestion provided at the right side of the footer once you are logged in to the svn manage website.
- Installation Information
- How do I install SvnManage?
Detailed instructions are available in the installation guide provided in the document's folder.
Installation of SvnManage will also depend on what kind of web server you are using, what are the settings of the server, and what permissions you have.
Note: Please check for the system requirements before installing the SvnManage.
- How do check for the system requirements?
On a Linux machine you can run the rpm command to find whether the required software are installed for not and whether their versions are appropriate or not.
While on Windows machine you have to manually check for the requirements. There is no command available to check it.
- Is there an easy way to see if my server meets the minimum requirement?
Yes - you can check for your system requirements by running the web page provided in the web folder “softwareRequirments.php”. If the status of the component is in green color, it means that our requirements are met. While if it's in red color, it means that you need to install that component.
For Windows, you might find that apache and subversion related components are not supported even after you have proper installed version of apache and subversion.
This might be the case when your software is not installed at the default installation paths like Program Files. So if you have them already installed you need not to worry. Continue with the rest of the part.
- Can I install the software to run as a part of an existing website?
You can install/configure website as a part of existing website. Also you can configure your website as a virtual host. When it is configured as a part of existing website your SvnManage website URL can be like http://yourWebsiteName.com/svnManage and if it's a virtual host it will be like http://svnManageWebsite.com.
Note: Domain name given here are just examples.
- What is the format of domain name to be registered for the SvnManage license?
If you will be running your website as a part of your existing website like http://yourWebsiteName.com/svnManage, register domain name as yourWebsiteName.com for the license.
If you are running your website on a virtual host like http://svnManageWebsite.com, register
domain name as SvnManageWebsite.com for the license.
- Can I run the software on both apache and IIS server?
On Linux, you can use only apache server for configuring the website, but on Windows it is possible to run on IIS also. Also IIS configuration is possible only if you are running you repository on svnserve server.
- I don't have a repository. How do I configure a new repository?
For this please refer to the subversion website and follow the steps::
1. Create a subversion repository.
2. Configure it on apache server (http repository) or Configure on svnserve server (svnserve repository)
- I have multiple repositories. Can I configure more than one?
It is not possible to configure more than one repository. If you have multiple then during
installation, you have to choose on which repository you want to work using SvnManage.
- While doing set up, it interrupted in between. Is it possible to resume it?
Yes it is possible to resume the setup from where-ever you left.
- What to do when getting an error while accessing the web page “You don't have permission to access the page 403 forbidden”
This may be problem if you have installed the software on a Linux machine. Please check if the directory where the software is installed is having the proper permissions to be accessed by apache. Also it can be the case if your Linux is SeLinux enabled, If that's the case please refer to the Trouble shooting section of the install document and get the SELINUX OS issues resolved.
- I have gone through each and every install step. Still I am not able to configure and run the website. What to do now?
Please send the all the log files that are present in the logs folder at email id. We will reply as soon as possible to you. Please specify the detailed steps how you go through the process.
- Support Information
- I have lost my license file. How can I get a new license file?
If you have purchased SvnManage and for any reason lost the license file, send an e-mail lost
license request (using the same original e-mail address) from Support & Inquiry Form with the
product name and the receipt number. Also attach the e-receipt you received from Internet
Secure.
Note: Mail subject should be: Lost my license file
- How can I contact you to request a new feature or report a bug ?

- Who do I contact for technical support?
For any technical support, contact us from Support & Inquiry Form
- I have changed the domain name registered for the product. How can I use the product now?
For this, a new license file will be required. To receive a new file, send your request using the
same original e-mail address) to Support & Inquiry Form. Include receipt number, product
same and the domain name you wish. Also attach the e-receipt you received from Internet
Secure.
Note: Mail subject should be: Regenerate my license file
